Page 1: Document Automation That Fits Real Work
AutoDoc is a browser-based document automation platform for teams that repeatedly produce structured documents from trusted Word templates. It removes the repetitive editing work while keeping people in control of their templates, values, review process, and final downloads.
Use AutoDoc to:
- Prepare agreements, notices, certificates, letters, forms, and records from standard DOCX formats.
- Replace local macros and desktop-bound scripts with a server-side workflow.
- Give each member a separate workspace for their own templates and documents.
- Move from a spreadsheet of records to individual PDFs with a validated mail-merge process.

Page 2: Start With A Template You Trust
Template Library
Save frequently used DOCX templates with a clear name and optional description. A library template remains untouched when a member creates a document from it; AutoDoc makes an independent working copy for that record.
Automatic Field Detection
Fields are detected automatically from paragraphs and table cells. Both <fieldname> and {fieldname} conventions are supported, so existing templates can usually be adopted without a reformatting project.
Organised Document Records
Each working document can carry a name, description, creation date, reminder date, page count, field count, completion status, and source-file status. Members can duplicate a record for a similar case or archive its source while retaining the historical record and values.

Page 3: Enter Values With Less Friction
Choose The Entry Method That Suits The Case
- Paste all at once: one
fieldname: valuepair per line. - Paste from Excel: use two tab-separated columns for fields and values.
- Individual fields: complete one labelled value box at a time.
- Excel mail merge: upload an XLSX file to prepare many documents from one template.
Values use bare field names. A member enters client_name, not <client_name> or {client_name}. AutoDoc normalises recognised field conventions, which keeps value entry consistent even when templates use different styles.
Check Before You Export
Check Match reports missing values and invalid fill codes before Preview and Download are enabled. Template-specific computed values can also be configured, such as copying an address into an alternate field or turning an Indian-formatted amount into words.

Page 4: Produce And Review With Confidence
PDF Preview And DOCX Delivery
Preview opens a rendered PDF in the browser for a practical final review. Download produces the completed DOCX for filing, signing, or onward delivery. Both actions run on the server.
Preserve The Shape Of The Template
The Keep original option is intended for templates whose page count matters. After all values are merged, AutoDoc compares the rendered page count with the original. If the document has grown, it uniformly reduces explicitly sized text across the document in small steps, down to an 8pt floor, and checks again.
This approach keeps the page visually consistent; it does not selectively shrink only the long value that caused overflow. AutoDoc shows a warning when the result still cannot fit at the minimum size. For the quickest direct merge, select Just replace and accept that pagination may shift.

Page 5: Mail Merge For A Spreadsheet-Driven Workflow
Upload one XLSX workbook with one data row per output. AutoDoc maps spreadsheet headers to template fields, shows matched and unused columns, and validates every row before generation.
Members can select a specific row and correct its values through the existing field or paste editors. Once ready, Generate All Documents (PDF) creates one PDF per valid row, reports progress, and makes each completed file available for download with a row-based name.
Mail merge is controlled by the member's assigned package allowance, giving operators a clear way to align high-volume generation with commercial plans.

Page 6: Private Workspaces And Administrative Control
Member Privacy
AutoDoc scopes documents, templates, entered values, batch files, reminders, and downloads to the owning member. One member cannot browse or retrieve another member's records through the application.
Administration
Administrators can create and manage member accounts, assign admin, manager, or user roles, activate or deactivate accounts, set the global upload limit, and assign commercial packages. The interface includes member search, sortable columns, and pagination for day-to-day administration.
Built-in safeguards prevent an administrator from deleting their own account, deactivating themselves, or removing their own admin role.

Page 7: Packages That Match Usage
| Package | Period | Saved templates | Documents | Mail merge | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Occasional | Yearly | 3 | 100 | 100 | 1 GB |
| Regular | Monthly | 10 | 300 | 300 | 2 GB |
| Professional | Monthly | 50 | 1,000 | 1,000 | 10 GB |
| Enterprise | Monthly | 200 | 2,000 | 2,000 | 50 GB |
Members can see their assigned package and current use of saved templates, document records, and mail-merge generation. Package assignment resets document and mail-merge counters.
The package framework supports commercial operations, but subscription payments and billing are managed outside AutoDoc. Operators should define their own pricing, support terms, retention policy, and renewal process.

Page 8: Product Boundaries And Responsible Use
AutoDoc is designed for DOCX templates and XLSX mail-merge data. PDF preview, page-count capture, page-fit output, and batch PDF generation depend on LibreOffice being configured on the deployment server.
The product automates approved templates; it does not decide whether a template is legally or professionally appropriate. Template owners and document issuers remain responsible for their content, values, review, storage, and compliance obligations.
